While copyediting and proofreading are my specialties, I perform several different levels of editorial services.
Furthermore, all of my editorial work is completed by me (a human), so generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools and programs are not used in my workflow.
I price all projects on a per word basis. My rates typically fall between $0.007-$0.04 USD but are dependent upon project length, type, and desired services.

Copyediting and Line Editing
When copyediting, I look for inconsistencies within the text regarding spelling, grammar, capitalization, and punctuation. For line editing, I focus on the diction and style. I often do these services simultaneously but can perform them separately if preferred.

Proofreading
My proofreads are generally "final passes" of a text to catch any lingering errors.

Developmental Editing
A developmental edit concentrates on the larger aspects of the work. Here, I look for areas in a text that need more detail, have too much detail, could be restructured, or could benefit from being moved elsewhere in the document. I'll suggest these changes within the original document.

Manuscript Evaluation
For me, a manuscript evaluation involves the same level of editing as a developmental edit. Rather than proposing changes in the text itself, however, I'll organize these suggestions in a separate document.

Citation Formatting
When checking citations, I'll ensure the reference list formatting adheres to a specified style guide, look for missing information in the citations, and verify the in-text citations and reference list align.
